ellie's sneaky confidence is so real. i really value her initial blatant social incompetence. she's constantly shifting weight between the balls of her two feet, she finishes people's sentences to compensate for how hard her mind is trying to keep up with the conversation, she doesn't look people in the eyes in any social setting where she isn't angry. and then she gets comfortable. starts making sly little jokes -- you find out she's wittier this way. looks you in the face while you're speaking, because you do the same to her. narrows her eyes at you when you narrow your eyes at her, smiles when you start smiling at her, breaks out into laughter when you start laughing. she's such a "oh, i don't know, ahhhh, i can't sit still" to "i'm just looking at you. what, i can't look at you?" pipeline ass bitch i love her so much

I'm not sure if this is a hot take or not but I feel like Lawrence would still be dangerous and murderous even if he wasn't supernatural.

I think the river made him WORSE but I still think he has too much knocked out of place to fully live a normal life.. at least without a lot of therapy and self improvement.

He's one of those rare people with a fight response instead of a flight but he's also way too sensitive to any kind of stimuli positive or negative. He's not afraid to deck the MC but he also does it for like.. no real reason. It wasn't as though he'd really MESSED UP with Ren in the bar and yet he made the assumption that somehow it was irreparable. and he took it out on someone else who didn't make things better buuut.. it wasn't really their fault either.

He can't stand being out of control. He can't stand someone not listening to him and he's so touchy that he's got a friggin' anger bar. An anger bar that fluctuates extremely fast.. and it doesn't help that his route is incredibly unpredictable. After playing it a few times it does make sense but during my first playthrough it was so hard to figure out what sets him off and what doesn't.

I feel like the only thing the river did to Lawrence was magnify his worst habits and make it so he can't be escaped.

When I was a kid I had a hard time telling the difference between dreams and reality. This caused a few problems. I legit thought I could fly for awhile. Teleport too, which is a whole story on its own because to this day my memory SWEARS that I teleported.

My very first memory is of thinking no one else was real because I couldn't see through their eyes (because I could body jump in my dreams).

Nowadays I can at least tell the difference between dreams and reality, but I still obsess over them. There're over 700 dreams in my dream log.

Ever since I was 12-14, I’ve had a very strained grip on reality. Basically, it’s really hard for me to conceptualize that things are “real.” Half the time, I remember events in dreams as reality, just like you.

The other half of the time, though, I’m completely aware that I’m dreaming. And yet, things seem so real, that it’s hard to understand that the people and places I’m seeing aren’t real someplace other than the real world.

My personality in dreams is different from my real one, though. I’m a bit more of a dick in my dreams. This is just background, the real confession starts now:

I was dreaming that I was hanging out with a group of characters I was obsessed with at the time. Three of them went to go get snacks, while I and the one other character hung out on the couch.

Once the others were gone, I turned to the character I was with and told him that he wasn’t real, and this was all a dream.

His face dropped. All of a sudden, he looked more serious and upset than I had ever seen him, even in the source material. He said to me, voice cracking,

“You think I don’t know that?”

I couldn’t say anything in response. I was shocked. Then, the others came back with the snacks, and he went completely back to normal. The dream ended soon after.

If “I” had been in control instead of my dream self, I never would have said that to him. It’s too cruel a thing to tell someone, even if they don’t really exist.

I want nothing more than to see him one more time to apologize, but I know that I never will, because he’s not real.

neat fact about eden and the save files! she is aware a little bit of when reverie reloads. reverie saves, things continue for about 1-3 seconds, and then jumps back to the second reverie saved. she cant tell how many times theyve reloaded to that save (the 1-3 seconds she experiences are always a continuation of that first timeline when they first saved, and after the reload its always the final reload of that save), so its kind of a little nerve wracking not knowing why they had to reload or how many times they had to reload. at least when shes around reverie shes expecting it, but when she's away from them its super jarring. sometimes she'll wake up in the middle of the night with vertigo and she has no clue why the FUCK reverie is saving and reloading at 3 am
